Gin: Xoriguer Mahon
Gin: Xoriguer Mahon
Gin: Xoriguer Mahon
The name Xoriguer for the gin made in Menorca goes back to Miguel Pons Justo, who wanted to honor his family's windmill business. The bottle with the Mediterranean, traditional, family touch still shows the old windmill from 1784. The name "Mahon" alludes to the origin of Xoriguer Gins, Menorca's capital with just under 30,000 inhabitants. Wine alcohol (and no grain alcohol!) Is used for the production, which absorbs the aromas of a top-secret botanical mixture. Oddly enough, the team can taste the freshly produced distillate every ten minutes, as it comes out of the still at a drinking strength of 38%. - You can taste the gin on September 4th at the Gin Tasting in Restaurant Ö - remember!
